June 5 24′ Pet pictures & Story

When me and my boyfriend were living with my Mom 3 years ago there was this orange cat that had a pink collar on that would raom around the neighborhood. We soon found out that it was the neighbors cat. My mom went over there to tell them that another neighbor was complaining to us about the cat because they thought it was ours. After that the orange kitty came back around but without a collar this time so it seemed as if the neighbors didn’t care about him. Me and Shane would go outside every night to sit on the swing and the cat would always know and come cuddle on our laps. We always tried to bring him inside on rainy or cold winter nights but my moms dog and the cat did not get along at all and he hated it. The neighbors eventually moved away without him and he became a stray cat we would feed. When we finally bought a house two years ago the first thing we did was bring the orange guy home with us and name him Pumpkin. At first all he wanted to do was escape and be back outside and he was honestly a little mean which was a surprise because he was always so sweet outside. All I wanted was him to be safe and sound inside with us. Now two years later he’s a huge cuddler and absolutely loves treats. He may be a little fat now after many wet food cans that I can’t resist giving him when he looks at me and screams at dinner time. I’m just happy he gets to have a safe home for the rest of his life instead of the streets and now he gets to be a big brother which he pretends he doesnt like but I see them cuddling when they think no one is watching and he kisses her when shes asleep so he’s just a big softie.

Now for our little doggy, we got her two years ago in November, and she turns two in Septemeber which is so crazy! One of my co-workers at the time had a friend whose dog just had babies. Another co-worker was getting a male dog with a spot on the face and told me to get one too since I had been applying for dogs left and right on Pet Finder with no luck. I really didn’t want to get her because my dream dog is a long haired wiener dog with brown and black coloring named Snickers. While that has yet to happen I’m so glad I decided to go ahead and get Peachy girl. There were only two girls left and only one had a spot on her eye so that’s the one we chose. She’s the most annoying pet I have ever encountered especially when she wants under the blankets 24/7 even if I dont have one on she will dig as if she is trying to get under an imaginary one. However annoying she is, I love her with all my heart and am so happy we decided to get her.
